i have always loved both of these songs, and I recently realized that they sounded pretty similar, so here they are meshed together.

one song is "don't dream it's over" by crowded house
the other song is "love is love" by culture club
which is featured in the 80's movie "electric dreams".

ariel pink plays a newly sentient computer character from the movie "electric dreams".

i highly recommend that you listen to the original versions if you haven't already.
