about

in san antonio texas erik sanden (the unables, the mechanical walking robot, buttercup, demitasse) started a dial-a-song. people called from all over the world just to hear a new song every week by calling 210-pet-able. erik started out alone, but soon enlisted the help of his friends to write and record a new song every week on a cassette 4 track which he would then mix onto an answering machine cassette tape. the songs were all done in one session with borrowed and improvised equipment like trash cans with tambourines on top of them, and without the aid of computers.
these are the songs which i (wilton) helped erik to make for dial-a-song during a span of two or three months. i mostly played drums, bass and did harmony vocals, but i did occasionally write parts and sing lead vocals.

-note that each of the 9 songs costs one dollar and the album whole album costs 8 dollars. this makes buying the whole album cheaper.
